About Casulo

We interpret beautiful standard Bossa Nova tunes from the greats, as well as performing some of our very exciting original compositions. While we especially love Bossa, our repertoire extends to many Brazilian genres such as Baiao, Samba, Maracatu, Frevo, etc.

Led by pianist and composer Paulo Sultanum from Recife, Brazil, Casulo brings a group of amazing local professional musicians together for your listening pleasure.

We love playing our music and we’d be delighted to bring our joy and uplifting tunes to your event!

Paulo Sultanum and the ensemble have been an active participant in the Flower Piano festival for three years, playing at the botanical garden of San Francisco, including the closing act of 2017 and with original compositions featured in the Flower Pianos Compilation. We have also done some high profile events and fundraisers.
